We think we need to change production and consumption habits. You don't need to buy a new product if you don't plan to use it a lot, renting is the best environmental-friendly option!

In which countries the Rental service is available?

Our rental service is available in Italy and Austria at the moment.

Choose and reserve the rental of the products online, then pay and pick them up at the store you selected where rental service is available. It is also possible to make the rental reservation fully in-store.

Can I order immediatly or book my products in advance?

Whenever you need it! If your article is available, you can rent it right away or reserve it for later on.

This service focuses on short term rental: you can rent a product for a period of 1 to 28 days maximum.

You are free to cancel your order up to 24h before your rental day starts. Please contact our Customer Support here.

Is it possible to extend my rental period after I have received my order?

Unfortunately this is not possible, but you can always place another order for the products !

I would like to rent for several days, are the prices always the same?

Our prices are degressive. We apply discount on the daily price when the rental period is between 2 and 7 days, and more than 7 days. Choose your rental dates, the daily prices will adapt.

You will pay the products directly in your selected store at the pick-up date.

At the moment we only provide a in-store pickup option in the selected stores in Italy and Austria.

How do I pickup or return my rented items?

At the beginning of your rental period, you can pick up your products within the store's opening hours. Please bring your reservation number and an ID with you.

At the pick-up, we will hand you the products, along with a few explanations and recommendations of how to use them (especially safety recommendations). Once the payment is completed, you can take them to the mountains!

When the products are returned, they will be checked and you will receive an email confirmation at the end of your rental period.

Not yet, we are currently working on possible options to buy the products afterwards.

You will receive a reminder email to return your items on the last day of your rental period. If you are not able to return them within this day, please contact our Customer Support here as soon as possible.

If you keep your items without buying them, you will be charged the full retail price for the items. However, you are committed to return all of your rented items back to the store.

Do I have to clean the items that I rented?

You don’t have to clean the items before the return. We sort out, inspect, repair and clean every product after the return. However, we are more than happy if you bring cleaned items back.

I have damaged one or more items during my rental period. What should I do?

Depending on the type of damage found when the products are returned, you may be charged repair costs. These will be calculated by our after-sales service.
It is important that you read the user manuals of the products, which are available and can be downloaded from the website.
If you have any problems using the products, please contact the our customer service here, who will be able to help you to prevent any breakage due to misuse.

The payment will be proceeded directly in-store at the moment you pick up your order.

Please make sure you have your ID and the order number with you when arriving to the store for the pick up.

We prepare your order at Salewa Store Bolzano for the "pick up date" indicated on your order confirmation.

Please note that the payment will be proceeded in-store during the order pick up.

Return your rented items as well as any packaging or product related documents to the same store on the "return date" indicated on your order confirmation.

Warning, if you have articles in your cart, you will loose them by changing your store.
